Opened in 2005 on the site of several run down tennis courts, Rocks Lane Multi Sports Centre was transformed over a period of time into seven 3G multi use floodlit courts and pitches as well as six outdoor and four covered padel courts, allowing for 5-a-side football, netball, hockey, tennis and padel to be played all year round, as well as the latest sport to be introduced to the UK - Pickleball.
At Rocks Lane, it all starts with the early years and Mini Sports for children aged two and a half to five, enabling the very young to develop fundamental building blocks to form the base for progress in all aspects of learning so children can develop a healthy and positive association with sport.
And even younger - the soft play arena for toddlers.
The Soft Play Arena is for the youngest children to explore, climb and discover their own independence in a safe environment, helping to broaden their development skills, providing support for independence in later life.
Weekdays during term time are filled with multi sports offerings for all ages. Mini Sports, school bookings (free hire for state and special rates for private), padel, tennis, football and netball coaching, padel socials, as well as court and pitch hire for social play, plus 5-a-side football, netball and adult padel leagues in the evenings.
The week reaches its climax on Friday afternoons with exciting Friday Night Fives junior football and netball leagues - a highlight of the week for Chiswick families!
Weekends are jam-packed with a busy mix of multi sports fun, coaching and competitive play in the form of padel intensives, padel and pickleball socials, the junior padel academy coaching programme, football, netball and tennis coaching and social play.
The pitches and courts for all sports are available for anyone to hire via the Playtomic app.
Rocks Lane FC play their league matches either at home or away on Sundays and Rocks Lane Padel is host to high profile LTA adult and junior national and international padel tournaments throughout the year.
During the holidays, the centre is busy with children of all ages spending their days in fun-filled mini sports, multi sports, football, netball, padel and tennis camps.
Rocks Lane’s aim is to make sports accessible to all, enabling lots of children and adults to play at the centre, to have fun with sports, whilst their experienced coaches, each dedicated to their sport are there to assist those who wish to take their sporting ambitions further.
