Following exceptional demand for Friday Night 5s Football leagues in South West London, we are delighted to bring Balham it’s very own Friday Night 5s youth football league.
Built on Friendship, Fair Play and Fun – our Friday evening Junior 5-a-side football leagues will take place in Tooting Bec Common.
Friday Night 5s Balham is set to become a local phenomenon just like our other leagues. Featuring junior teams playing over several hours from 4pm, our Balham league will bring the Friday Night 5s unique atmosphere of fun and camaraderie to the local community, becoming the highlight of their week for our junior teams, and a real social occasion for many parents too!

We often hear from parents and children that Friday Night 5s Football is a very different experience to what they might encounter in a weekend league. Friendship, Fair Play and Fun are the values of Friday Night 5s because they are so important to those who takes part.
The five-a-side format, based around Friendship of boys and girls of a similar age, helps create this atmosphere. Friends come together to design, manage and play in a team that is truly theirs: choosing their own team name, designing their team badge and, if they wish, having their own team strip too.
Our Match Rules and Code of Conduct for Players, Parents and Coaches are there to champion Fair Play in the spirit of the game and ensure Fun for all – win, lose or draw. Referees assess all matches for Fair Play and a Fair Play Award is given at the end of every week.
Balham will be our fifth Friday Night 5s Football location. We kicked off Friday Night Fives Football in Barnes in 1995 with just 4 teams. Today we regularly attract almost 2,500 junior footballers every Friday evening across four West London venues playing on 29 pitches. It’s an incredible buzz!
The whistle will blow for youngest age group Friday Night 5s Football matches at Balham from 4pm. Matches last roughly 40 minutes each with the older kids playing last. Our experienced team of referees and coaches ensure everything runs smoothly, rain or shine!
Friday Night 5s Football teams of all ages that are keen to progress their abilities can work with one of the coaches we have available at Friday Night 5s Balham.
We run private and open football coaching classes throughout the week for ages 3 upwards. A team looking to improve their skills and tactics can have a private coaching class during the week and put the new skills they have learned into action during their Friday Night 5s Football match at Balham, with the same coach provide in-game guidance and advice from the side of the pitch, as part of our Match Day Manager service.
